Information We Collect

Data Stored Locally on Your Device

The following data is stored only on your device and synced via iCloud (if enabled):

  • Tasks, rituals, and focus sessions you create
  • Your companion's name, mood, and evolution progress
  • App preferences and settings
  • Streak and XP data

We cannot access this data. It's encrypted and stored using Apple's secure frameworks (SwiftData and CloudKit).

Data Linked to You (Optional)

If you create an account or sign in with Apple:

  • Email address: For account identification and support
  • User ID: A unique identifier for syncing across devices

Analytics Data (Not Linked to You)

We collect anonymized, aggregated analytics to improve the app:

  • App functionality usage (which features are popular)
  • Crash reports (to fix bugs)
  • General usage patterns (session counts, not content)

This data is not linked to your identity and cannot be used to identify you. You can disable analytics in the app settings.

How We Use Your Information

  • App Functionality: To provide personalized task management and companion interactions
  • Sync: To keep your data consistent across your Apple devices (via iCloud)

  • Mixpanel: For anonymized analytics (can be disabled)

Data Retention

Your local data remains on your device until you delete the app or clear it manually. If you use cloud sync, data is retained according to Apple's iCloud policies. Analytics data is retained for up to 24 months, then automatically deleted.

Your Rights and Controls

You have full control over your data:

  • Access: View all your data directly in the app
  • Export: Export your data from Settings → Privacy → Export Data
  • Delete: Delete your data from Settings → Privacy → Delete All Data
  • Disable Analytics: Turn off analytics in Settings → Privacy
  • Account Deletion: Request account deletion by contacting us

Children's Privacy

Meet Lottie is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected data from a child, please contact us immediately.

Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including:

  • End-to-end encryption for synced data via iCloud
  • AES-256 encryption for sensitive local data
  • Secure authentication via Sign in with Apple
  • No storage of passwords or sensitive credentials

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by email. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
